If you point your web browser to the UMA Libraries website today, you will notice it has been updated! Library staff have been working to create a better experience for students, faculty, and staff who use our site on a regular basis. Three important changes we want to highlight:
Search boxes on our homepage
We are excited to give you the option to search our resources right from our homepage.
Try our newest search tool, OneSearch, to find books, articles, and other subscription library resources. We will introduce you to OneSearch in more detail soon, but check out a brief overview here: What is OneSearch?
Use Catalogs to focus your search to just the Library Catalog, also known as URSUS.
Link to a specific Database or get help finding one using our librarian-curated Research Guides in the Guides & Databases tab.
Need to find a specific journal title or newspaper title? Want to browse for journal titles in a specific subject area? Use the Journals tab for that.
Now you can check your library record in the My Library Account tab by logging in with your last name and library barcode.
Today’s hours for both libraries
Click the title Library Hours to see the full calendars for both of our library locations, in Bangor and Augusta.
Library-specific navigation menu on left
Click on the words (e.g. Contact Us) to load a specific page, or click on the arrow next to the words to see other page options.
We would like to extend a special “thank you!” to our web guru, Frear Hook, for helping us with this transition. We couldn’t have done it without your help!
If you have a question or notice something awry with the new website setup, please email librarian Jess Isler for help.
