Starting this week (May 20th, 2014) workers will be installing energy-efficient LED lights, and replacing dead bulbs, throughout the Bennett D. Katz Library. Work in some areas of the library will require the use of lifts (especially in our steeply-sloped first and second floor areas):
The contractor will work section by section, so we will not need to close the library, but please be aware that the work will be happening and may include some temporary disruption and relocation for patrons working in the affected areas. We have laptops that may be checked out for use during this time should you need to move your work to an unaffected area of the library.
The end result will be brighter and more efficient lighting for the library. If you have any questions or concerns about this work, please contact a library staff member at the Circulation Desk or at 207.621.3349. Thank you very much for your patience!
